My name is Savannah Forgy, an advocate for unconventional education and its long-lasting positive impacts. Growing up within the Montessori Education system, I was immersed in an environment that cherished individual learning and fostered my innate curiosity about the world.

My initial Montessori journey began at the age of two and continued until I was eight years old. However, it wasn't until I transitioned into the public school system in third grade that I truly comprehended the profound influence it had on me. The structured environment felt boring, leaving me feeling uninspired and unmotivated.

When the Covid-19 pandemic struck during my seventh-grade year, I faced a pivotal decision: continue with public schooling, online, or return to Montessori education, in an online format. Opting for the latter proved to be a transformative choice. I now attend a school overseen by Michael Strong,

The Socratic Experience. Here, I have the opportunity to delve deeper into critical thinking, question conventional wisdom, and cultivate leadership skills through various entrepreneurial experiences.

One topic that particularly captivates me is the perpetual debate between nature versus nurture. I am deeply intrigued by how our environments shape us, particularly in our formative years. Additionally, I hold an interest in Austrian Economics and recognize the significance of socialization in shaping individuals and societies.

As a teen writer, I am privileged to offer a student's perspective on Montessori, alternative, and public school education, sharing my insights and experiences with the world! The influence of my education path runs deep within me, molding not only my academic journey but also my outlook on life.
